Long Wei, male, born in 1965, obtained Ph.D. of Applied Physics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan in 1994. He is a professor in physics and currently the associated director-general of IHEP. Research direction: nuclear technology and application Achievement and Experience:
His research is mainly focused on the positron spectroscopy, radiological medical-imaging and its applications. He is the PI of several national scientific projects supported by NSFC and MOST. He was awarded the first prize and the third prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award in 2005 and 2008, respectively.
