Jiuqing Wang, Male, born in 1969, obtained Ph.D of Particle physics and Nuclear Physics in IHEP, CAS in 1997. From 1997 till now, he is the staff scientist of IHEP. From Apr. 1998 to Mar. 2000, he was the JSPS fellow at KEK in Japan. Now, he is a professor and Associate Director of IHEP. Areas of Research: Accelerator Physics Achievement and Experience:
From 1994 to 2005, he was involved in the operation, beam experiment and machine development studies of Beijing Electron Positron collider. Since 2001, he was responsible for the BEPC operation related beam physics and later the operation of BEPC.
From 2000 till now, he participated in the design, construction, commissioning and operation of BEPCII, which is the major upgrade project of the BEPC. He was a committee member for the beam parameters and the impedance police for storage ring. He was in charge of the impedance and collective study of BEPCII and also involved in the lattice design. He was the head leading the commissioning team for BEPCII storage ring, achieving the goal for each of the 3 commissioning stages in time. He is responsible for the operation of BEPCII.
He participated in the project for R&D of key technologies for Beijing Advanced Photon Source (BAPS), as a member of the headquarters. He is also responsible of the IHEP innovation research program of “500keV photon cathode gun”.
He has been in charge of or involved in several NSFC funded programs.
He was author or co-author for more than 50 papers published in journals or proceedings of conference.
Awards: 2011’ Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Major Contributor of the Research group for Major Upgrade Project of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPCII)).
