双碱光阴极PMT对红外光的响应特性

Abstract在传统光电探测领域,双碱光阴极光电倍增管(Photomultiplier Tube,PMT)的光谱响应范围一般在300 700 nm,因此波长大于700 nm的红外光常被用作此款PMT生产或者测试过程中的背景光。然而在用红外发光二极管(Light Emitting Diode,LED)做PMT系统标定时发现PMT产生了红暴现象。其原因可能有两种:一是系统标定所用的红外LED存在白光光谱范围的杂散光;二是双碱光阴极PMT对红外光的微弱响应。本文通过设计实验,用红外激光管干扰双碱光阴极PMT的单光子状态,证明双碱光阴极PMT确实对红外光有响应,并对不同生产工艺制备的双碱光阴极PMT的红外响应特性进行了评估。
