AbstractWe investigate the possibility of producing the enhancement observed in J/psi ->gamma X with X ->omega phi at BES by intermediate meson rescatterings through f(0)(1710)-> PP ->omega phi, f(0)(1710)-> VV ->omega phi, and f(0)(1710)-> SS ->omega phi. We find that intermediate meson rescatterings can produce some enhancement near the omega phi threshold. Implications about the property of this enhancement are discussed.
