摘要Positron annihilation spectroscopy (PAS) was conducted to study microstructure defects in pyrite FeS2 films deposited on glass and Si substrates. PAS provides unique information that the main defects existing in pyrite films sulfurized at 300degreesC are sulfur vacancies, and pyrite films with better crystallization are obtained when sulfurized at 400degreesC as a consequence of the reduction of the number of sulfur vacancies present in the films. On increasing the sulfurizing temperature higher than 400degreesC, the obvious 3gamma decay shows that much nanoscale pores must appear in the films, which might worsen the performance of the pyrite films. Also our research indicates that a thin transition layer might be formed in the interface region resulted from the epitaxial growth and thermal diffusion for pyrite films deposited on Si substrates.
