The BRST cohomology of the SL(2, R)(p/q)-2/SL(2, R)(p/q)-2 gauged WZNW models is analysed. For admissible representations of 2j(r,s) + 1 = r - (s - 1)p / q, 1 less-than-or-equal-to r less-than-or-equal-to p - 1, 1 less-than-or-equal-to s less-than-or-equal-to q, physical states are found to be in correspondence with that of the c < 1 non-critical strings. There are infinitely many copies of the physical states with different ghost numbers. The results support our previous arguments on the equivalence of the non-critical strings and the G(k)/G(k) models.
