J/phi and phi' radiative decays to mesons are a good place to look for glueballs, hybrids and for extracting gg-q (q) over bar couplings. Abundant J/phi and phi' events have been collected at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). More data will be collected at upgraded BEPC and CLEO-c. Here we first provide explicit formulae for the angular distribution of photon of the phi radiative decays in the covariant tensor formalism. Then we discuss helicity formalism of the angular distribution of the phi radiative decays to two pseudoscalar mesons, and its relation to the covariant tensor formalism.
